As we reflect on the past year at Sip for Your Soul Wellness Centre, our hearts feel incredibly full. What began as a quiet dream has grown into a living, breathing space rooted in healing, connection, and care. In such a short time, this little baby business of ours has taken hold in ways we could never have fully imagined, and we are so proud of everything that has unfolded.

This past year has been shaped not just by what we built, but by the people who stepped through our doors, shared their stories, and trusted us with their wellbeing.

From Day 1: Trust, Timing, and a Little Bit of Magic

We began January of last year in a shared space with D&M Treatments Medispa. We were grateful for a place to land and begin. It felt safe and comfortable, offering our first glimpse into the sense of community we were about to become part of. And while we were thankful, we also knew it was not quite ours yet. Our brand. Our vision. Our dream.

Then, on June 1, 2025, everything changed.

An unexpected flood forced us out of our first location in under a year. It was sudden, disruptive, and frightening. With no plan beyond the next moment, we moved what little we had out of the space on a longboard, which quickly earned the name Noah’s Ark. Somehow, we stayed calm and collected, choosing to trust the process and the timing of the universe.

As we often share when talking about manifestation, the process is rarely neat or tidy. Sometimes the thing you have been calling in only arrives when you are truly ready to hold it. When you have made space for it. And if you do not make that space, the universe will.

Within days of leaving our original room, we found our current home.

Our very first boutique wellness location, nestled inside Sola Salons. And the magical part? It was right across the street. A change of just a couple of numbers in our address, a massive leap of faith, and a whole lot of labor of love later, we stepped into Phase Two of Sip for Your Soul.

Our business was no longer a baby. It had officially become a toddler.

Building a Space with Intention:

This new chapter was built by hand, heart, and community. With generous help from Mom and Dad, we painted the walls, poured over every decision, and selected details designed to shape how guests would feel the moment they walked through the door.

We discovered our elegant wallpaper at Walls Alive on 17th Avenue in Calgary, beautifully installed by Bronco Painting. We invested in a whisper quiet hydraulic massage table that glides so smoothly you barely notice it moving beneath you. And we added a chandelier that signals luxury without ever feeling loud.

Every corner of the space has been shaped with care. The smallest details received just as much love as the biggest ones, and the result is the Sip for Your Soul our community knows today.

Showing up in the Community

This past year, we stepped outside our comfort zone and into the community in new ways, many times over. We participated in local markets and trade shows, including the Awaken Wellness Expo, Art Spots YYC Loveshow, and the YWCA’s Wint-Her Market, connecting with new faces and sharing our work beyond our four walls.

We also competed in our very first pitch competition at the Startup Canada Tour. While we did not take home the win, we gained invaluable experience, learned more about the pitching process, and connected with inspiring local businesses along the way.

Speaking of local businesses, we quite literally hit the pavement. We introduced ourselves to our neighbors, walked the surrounding buildings, and began forming genuine, in person relationships with the people and organizations that make downtown and Beltline Calgary what it is.

We even built meaningful partnerships with local businesses and buildings such as Cuts and Coffee, Community Natural Foods, the Westin Hotel, and The Eleven residential building. Creating these connections has been one of the most meaningful parts of this journey.

Our First Event on a Full Moon to Remember

We also hosted our very first community event, a sold out Sound Bath experience paired with group Reiki and a grounding connection to Gaia. Held under the September Full Moon, the evening was everything we hoped it would be and more.

The space filled with the gentle resonance of crystal bowls, soft candlelight, and the quiet hum of collective presence. Guests arrived curious and left visibly softened, regulated, and restored. Collaborating with fellow healers, sharing energy with our community, and witnessing the power of people gathering with intention reaffirmed why we do this work.

Events like these remind us that healing does not happen in isolation. It happens when people come together, breathe in the same room, and allow themselves to be held by something larger than their individual stories.

We are already planning our next gathering this spring and cannot wait to share more details with you very soon.

Growing the Team

We closed out the year by expanding our team, a milestone that feels deeply meaningful. Building Sip for Your Soul has always been about more than creating a beautiful space. It has been about cultivating a team of practitioners who share our values, our integrity, and our devotion to thoughtful, client centered care.

We are so proud and excited to welcome Chandra, RMT and Reiki Master, and Jordan, RMT, into the Sip for Your Soul family. Each brings a unique background, intuitive approach, and depth of experience that aligns seamlessly with our vision for holistic wellness in Calgary.

Their presence, skill, and energy have already made a tangible difference in our treatment rooms and in the lives of the clients they serve. Watching them step into the space with confidence and compassion has reminded us how powerful it is to surround ourselves with practitioners who lead with heart.

As our community continues to grow, so does our team. We look forward to learning alongside them, expanding our offerings, and continuing to create experiences that support healing on every level.

Looking Ahead with Gratitude

We have loved every moment of this journey, even the frightening ones. Especially the moments that stretched us, humbled us, and asked us to wear many hats at once.

Building a heart led, local wellness business is not easy, but it is deeply rewarding. We are endlessly grateful to everyone who has walked through our doors, trusted us with their care, supported us through transitions, and celebrated our small wins alongside us

.

As we look toward 2026, we feel grounded, excited, and ready. Ready to continue caring for our community. Ready to keep building with intention. And ready to see where this beautiful journey takes us next.

Whether you are seeking Massage Therapy, Reiki, intuitive guidance, or simply a moment to breathe and reset, our doors are always open. We would be honored to support your wellness journey in whatever season you find yourself.

When you are ready, we invite you to book a session, explore our offerings, or stop by to say hello. We look forward to sharing space with you.

With much love and gratitude,

Brian and Nikita
